Recruiting
Cold email for a staffing or recruitment agency
Pitch hiring help to a company that's visibly hiring, with relevant candidates as the hook.
Subject
your [role] search
Email
Hi {{firstName | there}},
I saw {{companyName}} is hiring for {{open_role}}. Roles like that usually take [time] to fill for [their kind of company].
We place [the kind of role you place] with [the kind of company you help], and we already know [a few] strong candidates who'd be a good fit.
Worth a quick call to see if we can help?
{{sendingAccountFirstName}}Follow-up 1
Hi {{firstName | there}}, I can send [two or three] anonymised profiles today so you can judge the fit. Want them?Follow-up 2
Hi {{firstName | there}}, is the {{open_role}} search still open, or have you found someone?Follow-up 3
Hi {{firstName | there}}, I'll leave it here. If you're hiring again, reply any time. How to use this template
- Replace every [bracketed] part with something true about you or the person you're writing to.
- Give every {{field}} beyond the standard ones (first name, company) its own column in your lead list, or a fallback after a bar. In mailzy, a lead whose field is empty and has no fallback waits instead of going out with a gap.
- Send the follow-ups as replies in the same thread. We wait 3, 5 and 7 days between them.
- Check how it reads for real leads with the merge tag preview, and send it to yourself first.
- Test it on a few hundred people in one niche and judge it by replies, not opens.
