This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on mailzy.us and the app dashboard at app.mailzy.us. It expands on the cookies section of our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We also use local storage and session storage, which work similarly but stay on your device instead of being sent with every request.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary
- Authentication session - keeps you signed in to the dashboard. Expires when the session ends or on sign-out.
- Security tokens - CSRF and abuse-prevention tokens tied to a single request or session.
- Load balancing - set by our edge network to route requests consistently.
These cannot be switched off, because the service does not work without them. They do not require consent under GDPR or the ePrivacy Directive.
Preferences
- UI state - remembers things like a dismissed banner or a selected billing period.
- Cookie choice - remembers your answer to the consent banner so we stop asking.
Analytics
- First-party, aggregated page analytics - counts page views and referrers so we know which pages are useful. No cross-site profiles, no advertising identifiers.
Analytics are only set after consent where consent is legally required (EU, UK, and comparable regimes).
Marketing
We do not currently run third-party advertising or retargeting pixels on mailzy.us. If that changes, this page will be updated and consent will be collected before any such cookie is set.
Third-party cookies
- Stripe - fraud prevention on checkout pages.
- Calendly - only on pages where a booking widget is embedded, and only once that widget loads.
- Cloudflare - bot mitigation and network routing.
These providers set cookies under their own policies. Embedded booking and payment widgets may not load if you block them.
How to control cookies
- Use the consent banner to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
- Clear or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all allow per-site control).
- Enable Global Privacy Control in your browser; we honour it as an opt-out signal.
Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will sign you out and break parts of the dashboard.
Changes
We update this page whenever we add or remove a cookie category. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
