Gmail sending limits are the caps Google puts on how much one mailbox can send. Go over them and the mailbox is blocked from sending for up to a day.
The published limits
- Google Workspace: up to 2,000 emails a day per mailbox (lower, around 500, during a trial).
- Personal Gmail: around 500 recipients a day.
There are also limits on recipients per message and unique recipients per day, and Google may lower them for a mailbox that behaves unusually.
The limit that matters for cold email
The technical limit is far above what's safe. Cold email from one mailbox should stay around 30 a day, after warm-up. Sending hundreds of cold emails a day from one mailbox gets it flagged long before it reaches Google's cap.
