Follow-ups
Write a breakup email
The final, polite email of a sequence that closes the loop and invites an honest answer.
The prompt
Write the last email of a cold sequence to {{firstName}} at {{companyName}}, who hasn't replied to three emails about {{offer}}.
Rules:
- Under 50 words.
- Say clearly that this is the last email.
- No guilt, sarcasm or "I guess you're not interested".
- Leave the door open: they can reply any time.
- Optionally ask whether someone else is the right person.Example of what it writes
Hi {{firstName}}, I'll stop here so I don't crowd your inbox. If new-client pipeline becomes a priority, just reply and I'll pick it up. And if someone else at {{companyName}} handles this, I'd be glad of a name. How to use this prompt
- Copy it into any AI tool, such as ChatGPT or Claude.
- Replace each {{field}} with real details about you and the person you're writing to. The more specific they are, the less generic the result.
- Check every fact, name and number in what comes back: AI can sound sure about things that aren't true.
- Cut it down if it runs long. A cold email reads best under about 75 words.
- Send it to yourself and read it on your phone before anyone else sees it.
