How to read the results.

A calculator is only as good as the numbers you give it. Four things to keep in mind.

01

Start with who you reach

New people a month is the number that drives everything else: how many mailboxes you need, how many addresses to verify and which plan fits. Count only people you email for the first time; follow-ups to the same person don't add to it.

02

Use your own rates

Reply rate, meetings and closed deals are yours to set. If you have run campaigns before, use what you saw. If not, the starting numbers are deliberately modest: it is better to be surprised upwards.

03

Value a customer honestly

Use what a new customer is worth to you in their first months, not their best-case lifetime value. If you sell a monthly service, a few months of it is a fair number.

04

Read the return as a range

Change one number at a time to see which matters most. Usually the reply rate and the value of a deal move the result far more than the cost does, which is why list quality and the offer deserve the most work.

Questions before you start.

Ask us on the chat if yours isn't here. A real person answers.

What is a good cold email reply rate?

It depends on the list and the offer. Many well-targeted campaigns see 1% to 5% of people reply. Start low in the calculator and raise it once you have your own numbers.

Why are the results whole numbers?

People and customers come one at a time, so every step rounds down. That keeps the estimate on the cautious side.

How many mailboxes do I need?

The calculator suggests enough for 4 emails to each person, at 30 a day per mailbox, Monday to Friday. You can change it.

Is the return guaranteed?

No. It is an estimate from the numbers you enter. Your list, your offer and your copy decide the real result.
